Animal Filters and Individual Records
Animal Filters and Individual Records
Back to documentation contents
This chapter is part of our “the hunter call of the wild cheats” guide. The tool provides read-only save analysis and does not offer cheats or modify game data.
Page Objective
From the complete population of the current reserve and species:
- Filter for a specific sex, social behavior, or fur type;
- Find notable animals and records with high trophy potential;
- Sort by group size, score, or difficulty;
- View an individual animal's ranking, active unit, schedule, and area associations.
1. Open Animal Records
- Go to Map at the top.
- Select a reserve.
- Select a species.
- View Animal Records on the right side of the page.
The number next to the heading indicates the number of records in the current filtered results. The pagination area at the bottom shows the current page and result range.
2. Understand the Record Columns
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Sex / Number | Male or female, plus the record's sequence number within the current species |
| Save Score | The score stored in the animal population save |
| Status | Group/solitary, notable-animal result, difficulty, and trophy estimate |
| Fur | The fur type resolved from the visual seed and current mapping |
Animal IDs in a save may all be 0, so the interface uses each record's sequence number within the current species to help distinguish animals.
A TruRACS species' final antler or horn form and final score may change after being generated in the game. The save score is not necessarily the final harvest score.
3. Filter by Sex
- Find the sex button group above the animal records.
- Select:
- All;
- The female icon;
- The male icon.
- Observe the changes in the record count and pagination.
The sex filter can be combined with other filters.
4. Filter by Social Behavior
- Find the social-behavior button group.
- Select:
- All;
- Group;
- Solitary.
- In group mode, records are organized by active unit, making members of the same group easier to compare.
An active unit is not a herd's real-time location on the map. It is a set of animals that share group and area-association information in the save.
5. Filter by Fur Type
- Open the fur dropdown marked with the feather icon.
- Select a fur type that occurs in the current species.
- View the filtered animals.
- Select All Fur Types to clear the condition.
The following states may appear:
- A mapped fur name;
- Update Required: a visual seed exists, but the current mapping version is insufficient;
- Not Covered: the current mapping has no corresponding range;
- A raw index or hash: the save has a value, but it cannot be converted to a name.
6. Show Only Notable Animals
- Click Notable.
- When the button is selected, only animals that match the notable-animal rules are shown.
- Use the count on the right to determine the number of results.
- Click again to clear the filter.
Notable-animal classification priority:
Great One
> Possible Great One
> Super Rare
> Rare Fur
> Diamond Potential
> Mission Animal
Each animal shows only its highest-priority classification and is not counted more than once.
Recommended Search Process
- Enable Notable;
- Set sex to male or all;
- Select Score ↓ for sorting;
- Open each individual record;
- Verify the classification basis, weight ranking, and save score;
- Then inspect the spawn zone and need zones.
7. Show Only Animals with Explicit Need-Zone Associations
When the current data source supports this feature, the interface displays an Associated button.
- Click Associated.
- Only active units whose identifiers, such as
NeedZonePathGuids, can be matched to areas remain. - Click an animal record and inspect the associated point on the map.
- Click Associated again to clear the filter.
“Not associated” does not mean that there are no need zones in the game. It only means that the current save and area data cannot provide direct identifier evidence.
8. Filter Animals by Map Area
In Need Zones → Full DECA mode:
- Click a need zone that can be associated with active units on the map.
- A This Area button and count appear above the animal records.
- The list shows only active units that reference this area.
- Click an animal in the list to verify its group and path identifiers.
- Click the same area again, clear the animal selection, or turn off the This Area filter to restore the original list.
This feature applies only to DECA areas that can be reverse-matched to active units.
9. Sort Animals
Open the sorting dropdown on the right and select:
| Sort | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Score ↓ | View high-scoring animals first |
| Estimated Difficulty ↓ | View animals with high estimated hunting difficulty first |
| Number ↓ | View records in the current species' record order |
| Group Size ↑ | View solitary animals or small groups first |
| Group Size ↓ | View large active units first |
Sorting does not modify the save. It only changes the display order of the current list.
10. Change Pages
- Check the page number and current record range at the bottom.
- Click the left button to go to the previous page.
- Click the right button to go to the next page.
- After changing a filter, sort order, reserve, or species, the page number is recalculated for the new results.
11. Open an Individual Record
- Click an animal record.
- The intelligence area in the center opens that animal's individual record.
- The map also attempts to show information associated with the active unit.
- Click the selected record again to deselect it.
Record Contents
Depending on the completeness of the save and mapping, the record may show:
- Sex, record number, weight, and save score;
- Score rank, weight rank, and percentile within the species;
- Active-unit number, group size, and position within the group;
- Current activity, next activity, and time range;
- The exact associated area for the current time period;
- Straight-line distance from the area to the profile's last position;
- Fur result, trophy rating, and notable-animal classification;
- Visual seed, trait flags, and
SpawnAreadId; - Raw
NeedZonePathGuidsidentifiers.
View Technical Information
After expanding the technical details in the record, distinguish among:
- Raw Save Values: directly from the local save;
- Mapped Values: converted with the current mapping package;
- Population Estimates: inferred from same-species statistics and thresholds.
For a possible result, verify the raw values and mapping version first.
12. Go from a Record to Its Spawn Zone
- Open an animal's individual record.
- Find the spawn-zone button.
- Click it when the button is available.
- The map switches to the Spawn Zones layer.
- The app uses
SpawnAreadIdto try to highlight the corresponding area.
An unavailable button usually means that the save has no valid SpawnAreadId, or that no spawn-zone information is available for the current species.
13. Recover from Empty Filter Results
Clear the conditions in this order:
- Restore sex to All;
- Restore social behavior to All;
- Restore fur to All Fur Types;
- Turn off Notable;
- Turn off Associated;
- Clear This Area;
- Return to the first page;
- Confirm that the correct reserve and species are selected.
