Harvest Records, Species Codex, and Fur Codex
Harvest Records, Species Codex, and Fur Codex
Back to documentation contents
This chapter is part of our “the hunter call of the wild cheats” guide. The tool provides read-only save analysis and does not offer cheats or modify game data.
Feature Objectives
- Aggregate harvest records from different sources;
- Filter by species, reserve, and trophy rating;
- View the weapon, hit, fur, and coordinates for an individual harvest;
- Track harvested species;
- Track fur collection progress for each species.
1. Open the Harvests Page
- Confirm that the current save path is correct.
- Click Harvests at the top.
- At the top of the Harvests overview, select:
- Harvest Records;
- Species Codex;
- Fur Codex.
The Harvests page obtains data from multiple save sources, including trophies, saved harvests, and recent harvests. Field completeness differs between sources.
2. Use Harvest Records Mode
2.1 Filter by Source
Source buttons include:
| Source | Content |
|---|---|
| All | Combines identifiable sources and handles duplicate records |
| Trophies | Trophy- or display-related records |
| Saved | Harvest records saved by the player |
| Recent Harvests | Recent history or summary records |
After you click a source button, the adjacent count and record list update.
2.2 Search for a Species
- Click the search box.
- Enter the species' Chinese name, English name, or a recognized alias.
- View the results as they are filtered in real time.
- Clear the search box to restore all results.
2.3 Use the Species Filter
- Open the species drop-down list.
- Select the target species.
- Select All Species to clear the condition.
The search box and species drop-down list can apply at the same time. If there are no results, clear one of these conditions first.
2.4 Use the Reserve Filter
- Open the reserve drop-down list.
- Select the target reserve.
- The list retains only records that contain information for that reserve.
- Select All Reserves to restore the list.
A harvest without a reserve number cannot match a specific reserve filter.
2.5 Use the Trophy Rating Filter
- Open the trophy-rating drop-down list.
- Select the target trophy tier.
- View the matching records.
- Restore all tiers to clear the condition.
Depending on the record source, the trophy tier may come from an original save field or be inferred through mapping.
3. View an Individual Harvest
- Click a record in the harvest-record list in the center.
- Record Details on the right receives focus and displays its content.
- Scroll down to inspect every field.
Details may include:
- Species and reserve;
- Sex, weight, and score;
- Trophy rating and medal;
- Fur name, visual seed, and rarity;
- Weapon, ammunition, and sight used;
- Hit organs and shot information;
- Harvest time;
- World coordinates;
- Raw hashes or mapping status.
Correctly Interpret Missing Fields
Recent harvests usually come from compact summaries and may not contain:
- A complete score;
- A visual seed;
- Weapon and ammunition;
- Hit organs;
- Reserve coordinates.
“No data” in the details does not necessarily indicate a parsing failure. The source record itself may not have saved that field.
4. View a Harvest Point on the Map
- In the harvest details, confirm that the record has a reserve and coordinates.
- Click Map at the top.
- Select the same reserve.
- Switch the map's primary layer to Harvest Points.
- Hover over a point to view the harvest summary.
The Harvest Points layer displays records with valid coordinates. Records that are summaries only, lack a reserve, or have invalid coordinates do not appear.
5. Use the Species Codex
The Species Codex automatically marks harvested species based on the harvest archive.
View Overall Completion
- Select Species Codex on the Harvests page.
- View the number of harvested species, total species, and harvest records at the top.
- Scroll through the species cards.
Search and Filter
- Search box: filters by species name;
- Reserve: shows only species associated with the target reserve;
- All: displays every species;
- Harvested: shows only species with records;
- Not Harvested: shows only species not yet identified in the harvest archive.
View a Species Card
A harvested species may display:
- Harvest count;
- Best trophy;
- Most recent harvest;
- Reserves where it has appeared.
Jump from the Codex to Records
- Click a harvested species card.
- The page returns to Harvest Records mode.
- The species filter is automatically set to that species.
- View all matching harvests.
Why a Species Is Not Marked
- It has not actually been harvested;
- The recent record lacks an identifiable species field;
- The species hash has not been mapped yet;
- The record is not in a harvest source supported by the current app.
6. Use the Fur Codex
The Fur Codex identifies collection status from the visual seed and appearance index in harvest records and from the current mapping package.
View Overall Completion
- Select Fur Codex on the Harvests page.
- View the number of collected furs, total furs, and completed species.
- Browse fur cards grouped by species.
Search and Filter
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Search box | Searches for a species or fur name |
| Species drop-down list | Shows only one species |
| Reserve drop-down list | Narrows results by associated reserve |
| All | Displays all mapped furs |
| Not Collected | Displays furs that have not been identified yet |
| Collected | Displays furs supported by harvest evidence |
| Rare | Displays furs marked rare in the rarity mapping |
View a Fur Record
- Find a fur marked “Collected.”
- Click the fur card.
- The page switches to the related harvest records.
- Open the details and verify the visual seed, species, and source.
Rarity
The interface may display:
- Common;
- Uncommon;
- Rare;
- Very Rare;
- Great One;
- Unknown Rarity.
Rarity depends on the current mapping package and game version.
7. Why a Harvested Fur Is Not Marked
Troubleshoot in this order:
- Open the corresponding harvest details.
- Confirm whether the record has a visual seed or appearance index.
- Check whether the fur says “Unmapped” or “Update Required.”
- Check the current mapping version.
- Import the latest trusted mapping package.
- Refresh the save, then inspect the Fur Codex again.
If an old summary record lacks a visual seed, the specific fur cannot be determined reliably even when the species is known.
